Mohanlal-Suresh Gopi team up again

Malayalam super stars Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi were last seen together in veteran director Fazil's National award winning psycho-thriller Manichitrathazhu (1993). Though Suresh Gopi later acted alongside Mohanlal in Twenty:20 and Pakal Nakshathrangal, their scenes together were few. After a gap of 16 years, they will soon team up again to don two full-fledged roles in director Sajeev Paravoor's new flick.

Noted scriptwriter S.N. Swamy has penned the script and story. This untitled an investigative thriller will be produced by Arun Nair and Shan under the banner of Line of Colours. Suresh Gopi appears as father of two children and Mohanlal as a criminal lawyer named Surya Narayanan.

The shoot will begin in July at Thiruvananthapuram and Nagarcoil. Also in the cast are Suraj, Biju Menon, Jagathy and others. Giresh Puthencerry has penned the lyrics and M. Jayachandran has scored the music. Sukumar will wield the camera.

Mohanlal massages Mathamma!

Last week a hilarious comedy scene was picturised on Mohanlal by director Murali Nagavally for his Alexander The Great. The scene was shot at the swimming pool of Udaya Samudra in Kovalam and featured Mohanlal, Jagadish and a British girl Mary. The scene had the Alexander played by Mohanlal massaging Mary, a white woman near the swimming pool. Jagadish who plays a character called SRK (a take on Shah Rukh Khan), comes and teases him on massaging a foreigner. Alexander winks at him and asks - Ninakku Mathamede Koode Kulikkano? (Do you want to have a bath with the white woman?) “Alexander the character played by Mohanlal is a kind hearted genius, only Lalettan can play the role”, says the writer of the film C.Balachandran, a former sub editor with ‘Times of India’ in Mumbai, who is making his debut as a screenplay writer with this film.

Mohanlal's Karshakashree

Everyone should have come up with the news that Roshan Andrews have postponed his big budget movie Casanova with Superstar Mohanlal. In the meantime, Roshan have planned to start a quickie with Mohanlal in the scripts of James Albert. This new film, which is titled as Karshakashree will be produced by Aashirwad Cinemas.

This medium budgeted film will feature Mohanlal as a middle aged farmer by name Mathachan. The most notable thing with the film is that it will feature Mohanlal for the first time with the three time National award winning actress Sarada. Eventhough, Sarada is in the Malayalam film industry for nearly 50 years, both these talented artists were not been able to act together.

This new Mohanlal film will feature Bhavana, Lakshmi Rai and Padmapriya as the heroines and the shooting for this film will commence by the month of June.
