Mohanlal & Kamal’s Thalaivan Irukiran shoot starts

The best news in recent times, Kamal Hassan faced a movie camera after a year, for the shoot of his much anticipated Thalaivan Irukiran! In a hush-hush secret development, the shoot of the film started today (April 7) in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Rao studios.

Thalaivan Irukiran is the Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed Bollywood film A Wednesday. Kamal Hassan will play the role done by Naseerudin Shah while Mohanlal is playing the role of the cop done by Anupam Kher. Venkatesh will replace Mohanlal in the Telugu version (titled as Ee Nadu) of the film.

Ganesh Venkatraman is playing the role of an encounter cop done by Jimmy Shergill in the original. Chakri an ad filmmaker based in US and a close pal of Kamal is the director of the film. Sruthi Hassan is likely to do the background score and a song for the television promo of the film.

Thalaivan Irukiran has now become one of the hottest projects, as two of the finest actors in Indian cinema- Kamal and Mohanlal are coming together for the first time. The entire shoot of the film mostly at Ramoji Rao studios will be completed by May 31, and the film is likely to be released on July 4.
